My Mantra

I love this shirt because of how much it truly represents my beliefs. One of the reasons I started this blog was that my "real job" wasn't fulfilling me creatively and I needed an outlet to work on something I had a passion for...fashion and styling.

I feel like this exact issue plagues so many of us who are constantly fighting with the terms of either doing what we love or doing what brings us security. This shirt is a great reminder that you must do both. As they say, "The credo of Live, Work, Create was born out of the need to find a sustainable way to live without sacrificing an individual’s creative drive."

I love black dresses, love,love, love them. I especially adore this Mason dolman dress with lace for how easy and chic it is. You could easily dress this up with heels or down with a cute flat sandal. The lace and bow detail in the back is just another hidden attraction to wow with.

Mark Your Calendars!!

One of my favorite shopping events of the year is upon us... the Nordstrom's Anniversary Sale!! Mark your calendars for July 17th because you are not going to want to miss these deals. I personally like doing my shopping online and then returning any unwanted items to the store because if you spend over $200 you usually get free shipping. This is the perfect sale to get all the new, upcoming Fall merchandise for a huge discount. I use this sale to stock up on sweaters, boots, GREAT LEATHER, watches, jewelry or whatever Fall items I am in the need for.

You can go into the Nordstroms stores now and ask them to show you the Anniversary Sale merchandise. You can actually put items on hold, that way you ensure you will get the items you need/want!

Love It Or Hate It

I am having a love/hate relationship with this dress. Sometimes I look at it and adore it and sometimes I look at it and question whether it is just a big hot mess. All the same, if it evokes emotion like that it makes it all the more noteworthy. What do my readers think???

What I Bought This Week

I love finding clothes that are comfortable but also have a little sex appeal. I love tee shirts but I am so incredibly picky when buying them because I don't like them to look like the stereotypical tee.

While I was in Santa Barbara I went into and American Apparel store and picked out this adorable Sheer RibShort Sleeve Tunique. It has a wide variety of colors to chose from and look adorable in that off the shoulder look I love so much.

Great Gift Idea

I am always on the look out for cute gifts under $15. It's a hard search especially when I don't want to give something that just takes up space or will get thrown in the closet. When I found these "Flowers In A Can" I knew I had to bookmark them for future purchasing. The packaging is not only adorable but they are the perfect way to cheer up any windowsill.

All you do it pop the top, add a bit of sunshine and some water and in a short while you’ll have grown yourself a pretty bouquet of flowers in a can! You can choose from dahlias, geraniums, impatients or pansies.

My Summer Indulgence

If any of you readers are like me than you cannot get enough of all of the tropical fragrances that Summer brings. One of my guilty pleasures during the Summer is to use Hawaiian Tropic Dark Tanning Oil, Original Moisturizing Formula as my after shower moisturizer.

The scent is amazing and immediately transports you to a vision of lying on the beach with an icy beverage in hand.The luxurious formula is enriched with Cocoa Butter and Aloe Vera so it will keep your skin soft and supple.

My only heads up would be not to use it if you are planning a day in the sun as it has no sunscreen.

Pure Infatuation

I truly am infatuated with this Twelfth St. by Cynthia Vincent Embroidered Cutout Dress and I am trying to figure out what I can sell to buy it. :) I love that the dress is made out of a laid back crinkly rayon but the cutouts are placed perfectly over the breasts to create maximum sex appeal. The blue version is super adorable as well but something just stands out more to me with the black.

Okay, I'm Back...

Sorry Readers, I took a couple weeks off for a little R and R. I am now back and ready to dole out some of my favorite finds. Since I headed to Southern California for my vaca, all I packed was maxi dresses and flip flops. In honor of how fantastic my vacation was I decided to show you this absolutely adorable Redondo Maxi Dress from LuLu's. I love the detailed embroidery and the hypnotic blue color. The only down side is that I would not recommend this dress for the large chested. It will just end up making you look top heavy.

I have been a long time fan of Whiting and Davis( you can find really cute ones for sale on Ebay!); I love the look and feel of their mesh bags and the old world glamour they exude.
